Blessings Gentle Horizons Funeral Support Service

Blessings Gentle Horizons is a membership-based funeral support service and NOT an insurance company. All benefits are provided strictly as services and not cash. No cash payouts shall be made under any circumstances.
Family membership covers the Principal Member, one (1) spouse, and up to four (4) registered children. Only individuals listed on the official registration form are eligible for benefits.
Any dependent outside the standard family coverage shall be treated as an Extra Member and all their details captured as indicated on the registration form. An additional monthly charge of KES 100 per child below 25 years and KES 200 per adult will apply. Coverage for extra members begins only after approval and confirmation of payment. A waiting period applies to all extra members. No extra member shall be covered retroactively.
Members may enroll under the following plans. Membership remains active only if contributions are paid on time.
A mandatory waiting period applies from the date of registration or approval of any extra member as follows:
No services shall be rendered for deaths occurring during the waiting period.
Benefits include funeral-related services such as hearse services, coffins, tents, chairs, catering labour, PA system, and mobile toilets depending on the selected plan. The service provider reserves the right to substitute items with equal or comparable value where exact items are unavailable.
Blessings Gentle Horizons shall only cater for three funerals per year and must be spaced four months apart.
Any extra services requested beyond the member's selected package shall be provided at market rates, and members shall enjoy a discount of 20% on the cost.
Services are offered primarily within Homa Bay County. Out-of-county services attract additional transport and logistics charges payable by the member or family before service delivery.
Membership shall be considered inactive if contributions are unpaid for thirty (30) consecutive days. Inactive members, including extra members, may not qualify for full benefits. Reactivation may require clearing arrears and may attract a new waiting period.
Members must provide accurate information, notify the service provider of any changes, make payments through approved channels only, and must not misrepresent the service as insurance.
Any fraud, false declaration, impersonation, or misrepresentation shall result in immediate termination of membership without refund.
In case a member is in another organization offering similar services as Blessings Gentle Horizons, we shall not offer the same services or convert to monetary value or cash. We shall only provide the remaining services not provided by the other organization to the family.
A member shall be allowed to upgrade to a higher plan at any given time. Waiting period shall apply as per age.
In case of demise, the family shall report immediately or not less than 7 days to the burial date to enable facilitation and logistics of service provision. Blessings Gentle Horizons requests members not to schedule burial dates that fall on Saturdays.
The service provider shall not be liable for delays or inability to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, fuel shortages, road closures, insecurity, or government restrictions.
Any dispute arising from this membership shall first be resolved amicably. If unresolved, the matter shall be referred to mediation or arbitration before any court action.
The service provider reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
